Brasserie 45 has a central location in the heart of Oslo, yet remains separate from the hustle and bustle due to its first-floor position, looking out over the National Theatre, the trees and cafés of Studenterlunden, and Karl Johans gate beyond.
We are only a few minutes’ walk from the Royal Palace and grounds, the Akershus fortress, the National Gallery, the Historical Museum, the Storting parliament building, the Stenersen Museum, the Concert Hall and a wide range of shopping centres, cinemas, bars and nightclubs.
From nearby Aker Brygge, the fjord ferries can take you to such places as the museums on Bygdøy – the Viking Ships Museum, the Kon-Tiki and Fram museums, and the Norwegian Folk Museum – and the National Theatre underground and railway station is also just a short walk away, from where trams leave for the Vigeland sculpture park and Holmenkollen, and special express trains run to Oslo Gardermoen airport.
The Tourist Information Centre is just round the corner, opposite the City Hall, and tourist buses are permitted to stop outside to allow restaurant guests to alight.
